Let me introduce you to Pannekoeken

Because this is my first blog I thought what a better way to start my blog off than with one of my favorite breakfast's. Pannekoeken, or the Dutch pancake, or as my boyfriend Theo calls them Oma Pancakes. These thin pancakes, not as thin as a crepe but not as thick as a flapjack are a staple in any Dutch household. They are good with almost any filling you put in them, eggs and bacon, hash browns bacon and onion with sour cream on top ( the perogie Pannekoeken) or my favorite just rolled with Syrup and icing sugar.

you will have to make sure your skillet is very warm, and if the first one doesn't turn out beautiful don't get discouraged the first one is always a little ugly. Also the recipe is never exact as its been handed down from mother to child for a long time.

For 2 people

you will need one egg, 1 cup flour, 1 tbsp melted butter, and then 1 cup of Milk

you may not need all of the milk you just need it until the batter is a nice runny consistency.

You mix it all together and take a ladle and put in hot frying pan (Medium high) with some melted butter in it or oil, and cook for about 3 minutes per side.

Don't forget to add all of your favorite fruit or flavors to the breakfast, and enjoy.
This is a very easy and delish recipe if you are in the mood for a sunday breakfast on thursday morning.
